About Morzine
Morzine is a lively year-round resort . The largest town of all the “Portes du Soleil” resorts, it is located in the center of the 400-mile ski circuit and is linked by 204 lifts. One lift pass does it all! An immense range of cross country ski circuits is available with numerous marked trails.
In Morzine you will discover an authentic alpine Savoyard village, offering activities for skiers and non-skiers alike: ice skating, hiking, shopping, sauna/solarium, fitness centre, bowling, cinema, guided tours of historical Morzine, tours with snow shoes around Morzine and sleigh rides, to name but a few.
The town has a traditional village centre with some charming shops, and is cut through by a river, adding to the rustic atmosphere.
Après-ski is exciting, with many lively bars, discos and restaurants to choose from or you may enjoy a hockey game or figure skating exhibition at the Ice Palace .
Morzine is a great alpine base for summer and there are plenty of things to do for everyone.
With a car it is easy to visit some of the most beautiful parts of the Haute Savoie - Annecy , Mont Blanc, Les Aravis, for example. Lake Geneva and its attractions are not far away.
Summer activities include canoeing, tennis, golf, horse riding, walking, paragliding, mountain biking, climbing, fishing, and swimming (there are separate swimming pools for adults, children and toddlers).

Car-free Avoriaz (pronunciation: Avoriah) is a very special high altitude resort set amidst a backdrop of spectacular mountain scenery. Located at 1,800m, Avoriaz is renowned for its great snow record all season long and its enviable amount of exciting slopes to explore.
Two ski lifts reach from the heart of Morzine up to the Avoriaz hub. You can also take a free bus from Morzine to the Cable Car base. The Cable Car runs every fifteen minutes and continues well into the evening for those who want to explore the town by night.
It’s a visually spectacular city in the snow, where sleighs and skis replace cars and where restaurants, shops and cafés are all truly ski-in/ski-out. .
